Yachtsman rescued off Bunbury rocks

A yacht owner was pulled to safety and his vessel escaped major damage after it became stranded on rocks in Koombana Bay last week.

Bunbury Sea Rescue volunteers responded to a distress call about 9pm on Wednesday when the yacht was stranded on rocks at McKenna Point.

The crew was able to tow the yacht off the rocks and get its skipper to safety.
