Young people and diversity celebrated at Youth Woola Boola

The Youth Woola Boola (Celebrate-Many) school holiday event brought Koolambidi Woola alive on Monday attracting more than 1000 people. A live DJ, basketball clinic, photo booth, bucking bull and community organisations were some of the many attractions that banded together for the event. Anglicare youth engagement worker and organiser Esther Schipp said the event was a success showcasing a great facility in the region. “It’s a great success, having a lot of people just being able to see what a wonderful place we have onsite. There was a lot of community engagement and interest,” she said. “We run a program every Monday and Wednesday from 3pm until 7pm every week and as part of Youth Week celebrations we created an event called Youth Woola Boola. “It was a great school holiday event as well, an activity to do at a great facility.”
