The South Western Times is giving 10 readers the chance to win double passes to the heart-pounding adventure documentary The Dawn Wallat Grand Cinemas Bunbury on September 21 and 22.

In January 2015, American rock climbers Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson captivated the world with their effort to climb The Dawn Wall — a seemingly impossible 3000-foot rock face in Yosemite National Park, California.

For Tommy Caldwell, the climb was the culmination of a lifetime defined by overcoming obstacles, after being taken hostage at the age of 22 by rebels in Kyrgyzstan.

When his marriage fell apart, he escaped the pain by fixating on the extraordinary goal of being the first to free climb The Dawn Wall.

After spending six years of meticulous planning, the world watched as the pair made their final attempt.

On the verge of his success, Caldwell is faced with a moment of truth: abandon his partner to fulfil his ultimate dream, or risk his own success for the sake of friendship.

Cinema senior manager Dane Forsyth said the film scored 100 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.

“The people who have seen it are loving it, so the people of Bunbury should use this rare chance to catch this inspirational film,” he said.
