Evedon Park will be the venue for a live-entertainment fundraiser an lazy afternoon of live entertainment on January 20.

The Zonta Club of Bunbury will host the event, which is set to be a family-friendly affair.

Club member Nan Martella said it would be the third year the evening had been hosted at the picturesque Burekup park.

“We were in Myalup for more than a decade prior to that,” she said.

“It’s a wonderful day to bring your family to, you can have something to eat while taking in some great entertainment in a beautiful location. We are fundraising for Zonta but it’s not expensive and all you need will be available.”

Guy and a Girl will put on a show along with Penelope Martella, Nick Northcott and the South West Wind and Jazz Orchestra.

Zonta’s Irene Bell said it would be a relaxed atmosphere.

“The entertainment is of a very relaxing and joyful nature so that everyone in the family can enjoy the setting in the best possible way,” she said.

A sausage sizzle will be run on the day with cheese platters, wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks all available for purchase.

Tickets will be available at the gate for $15.

Entry for children will be free.

The event will kick off from 4pm with those planning to attend asked to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets.

“It’s just at the right time of the day because it will be starting to cool down and it won’t be too warm,” Mrs Bell said.
