Perth traffic: Car slams into pole on Beechboro Road after horror start to Easter on WA roads

A car has crashed into a light pole in Perth’s north-east, after a spate of deaths on WA roads marked a tragic start to the Easter holidays.
Main Roads reported the crash on Beechboro Road North northbound at Tonkin Highway about 5.40pm.
The right lane was closed as crews worked to clear the fallen light pole from the road before the crash was cleared by 6.53pm.
Towing services, police and Western Power attended the scene.
Earlier in Perth’s south a crash in Willetton caused traffic delays for motorists on Good Friday.
A left lane closure was put in place as emergency crews and towing services attended the scene.
The crash was cleared by 3.15pm.
The crashes come after three people lost their lives in separate crashes in Bedfordale, Jarrahdale and Derby.
