Coffin Bay: Body of WA man found after search in South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula

The body of a West Australian man missing off South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula has been recovered by police.

Authorities were called to Coffin Bay Yacht Club about 1am on Tuesday following reports that a man had fallen from a jetty into the water and didn’t resurface.

SA Police said Water Operations officers, along with search and rescue teams, commenced a search of the area, and located the body of the 56-year-old on the beach at Kellidie Bay around 12.30pm.

The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are under investigation and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
