A woman will face court on a string of charges after she reportedly lost control of her car and slammed into a house in Perth’s north-east last night causing extensive damage.

Police said about 9.45pm the 21-year-old woman was driving a Holden Cruze hatchback along Warrego Road in Ellenbrook when she lost control of the car.

The car then mounted the kerb and crossed the front garden before slamming into a house.

The woman and two passengers in the car allegedly fled the scene, but police found the woman a short time later.

The house was so severely damaged in the crash there were concerns it could collapse.

Neighbours helped tear down part of the fence so the home owner — luckily at the back of the property at the time — could escape.

The Ellenbrook woman was charged with exceed 0.08mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, careless driving and driver fail to stop – property damage.

She is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on November 18.
