A family’s northern suburbs home has been gutted by fire.

Emergency Services were called to the property on Beverley Crescent in Quinns Rocks at 4.45pm but the home was already fully engulfed by flames.

It is understood those inside managed to escape unharmed but their home was destroyed, with only the smouldering frame remaining on the block.

About a dozen firefighters spent the evening extinguishing the flames but were unable to save the property as well as a car parked outside.

The fire is not understood to be suspiciously lit and is believed to have been started from within the roof.
