Men wanted after alleged aggravated robbery in Beaconsfield

Two men are wanted by police after a violent armed robbery in Beaconsfield last month.

The victim, a man in his 50s who uses a trolley to assist him to walk, was in a carpark on Grosvenor Street at the cross of Lewington Street when the robbery happened just after 10.30pm on September 1.

Two men approached the victim as he was using his mobile phone when one produced a knife and threatened the victim demanding the phone and his money.

Police said the victim then knocked the knife from the alleged offender’s hand and began a physical altercation.

However, both men hit and kicked the victim in the head and body before fleeing across the Bruce Lee Oval with his phone, cash and a silver necklace.

The injured man was taken to hospital and treated for cuts and abrasions to his face and body.

Police have released a composite image of the first alleged offender, described as a dark-skinned man about 35-45 years old, 167-172cm tall and wearing dark clothing.

The second man is described as dark-skinned, in his mid 30s, about 182cm tall, with a medium build and short black hair. He was also wearing dark clothing.
