Wild footage captures moment police arrest teen hiding in portaloo as five charged over alleged crime spree

Five teenagers have been charged with 36 offences following an alleged crime spree across southeast Queensland - with footage capturing the moment one was arrested hiding in a portaloo. Police allege the group of teens were involved in the theft of property from six different businesses at Morayfield, Rothwell, Mango Hill, Narangba and Brisbane City between December 8-21. It will be alleged four of the teens broke into a house on Hemsworth St in Acacia Ridge, stealing a black Subaru Outback. Two of the teens allegedly broke into another house on Falcon St in Burpengary East, stealing personal property and a white Mazda CX-8. Police will allege the Mazda was involved in a traffic crash about 2.15am on Sunday, before the pair were taken into custody near Harvey Crt and Waterside Espl. A 16-year-old Caboolture South boy has been charged with 11 offences including three counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, two counts of enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and face masked with intent to commit indictable offence. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children’s Court on January 5, 2026. A 14-year-old Wamuran boy has been charged with nine offences including two counts of enter dwelling and commit and one count each of receiving tainted property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He is due to reappear in Caloundra Children’s Court on Wednesday. A 15-year-old Narangba boy has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and stealing. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children’s Court on January 7, 2026. A 15-year-old Godwin Beach boy has been charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent, face masked with intent to commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and receiving tainted property. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children’s Court on January 21, 2026. A 17-year-old Rothwell boy has been charged with two counts of enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, face masked with intent to commit indictable offence and receiving tainted property. He is due to reappear in Caboolture Children’s Court on January 14, 2026.
