Kerzers: Six dead in horror bus blaze sparked by passenger who set himself on fire in Switzerland

Six people have died and five more are injured after a passenger reportedly set himself on fire on a postal bus in Switzerland.
The bus was completely destroyed in the blaze in Kerzers, about 20km from Bern, at 6.25pm on Tuesday local time.
At least three people have been rushed to hospital.
Eyewitness reports suggest that a passenger had doused themselves in petrol, however this has not been confirmed by police.

The tragedy comes after a New Year’s Eve fire at Le Constellation bar in Switzerland’s Crans-Montana ski resort killed 41 people.
Swiss President Guy Parmelin said of the Kerzers tragedy that it “shocks and saddens me that once again people have lost their lives in Switzerland in a serious fire”.
“I express my condolences to the families of the deceased in Kerzers. And my thoughts are with the injured and the rescue workers,” he wrote in a post on X.
