Three protesters have been dragged out of a resources sector breakfast that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is due to address in Perth.
The protesters jumped on the stage at the event and started shouting and putting up “Disrupt Burrup hub” slogans, which were almost immediately pulled down.
Security removed the protesters, one wearing a green anorak and another in a black hoodie, as music in the room was turned up to drown them out.
Mr Albanese, Premier Roger Cook and Woodside boss Liz Westcott were among those gathered in the room for the Chamber of Minerals and Energy WA event.
The Prime Minister is set to announce $1.1 billion funding for road infrastructure enabling the Westport development and money for State governments to fast-track agreements that will streamline environmental approvals processes.
