Fremantle have confirmed crucial trio Caleb Serong, Brennan Cox and Matthew Johnson will be available for selection for their massive clash with Geelong on Thursday night.
Vice-captain Serong had been sidelined for the Dockers’ last three games before their mid-season bye last weekend by a calf problem, while Cox (knee) and Johnson (hamstring) did not feature in their thrashing of North Melbourne in Bunbury due to injuries suffered in their win over Brisbane.
The trio were each listed as tests in the club’s injury update on Tuesday, but Fremantle’s director of performance Adam Beard said they would all be available for selection.
“Caleb’s progressed really, really well and he’ll be available this week,” Beard said.
“(Cox and Johnson) were really close to getting up for North, but with the bye it gave us a little bit of that luxury to develop them further. Both will be available this week.”
Beard also confirmed speedy defender Brandon Walker — who has been sidelined in recent weeks after suffering a pair of concussions within a two-week span playing for Peel Thunder — was in line for a return to the field.
“Brandon’s progressed right through the concussion protocols, and he’ll be available too for this week,” Beard said.
Walker, who featured in Fremantle’s first game of the season but was not able to win his place back in the senior side after being a late withdrawal from their game against Melbourne in round two, sported a helmet at training on Monday.

Fringe forward Sam Sturt is also closing in on a return after a long lay-off with a knee injury, being listed as one-to-two weeks away.
Meanwhile, Geelong have not yet confirmed Tom Stewart will return from concussion to take on the Dockers, with the club’s injury update saying a determination on his status would be made closer to the game.
Cats coach Chris Scott also confirmed Jeremy Cameron was dealing with a hip issue, but declared the competition’s second leading goal-kicker was a certain starter for their clash with the Dockers.
“We wouldn’t try to hide it if it was serious,” Scott said.
“It’s something that he’s managing a bit, but his movement is still pretty good.”
