Prized West Coast tall Cooper Duff-Tytler appears set for an instant AFL re-call against Richmond after impressing coach Andrew McQualter with a dominant display in the WAFL.

The 18-year-old kicked four goals and had 18 disposals on return from a calf injury as the Eagles reserves defeated West Perth in Joondalup on Saturday, in only his second appearance in the twos.

McQualter teased that Duff-Tytler, who the club selected with pick No.4 in last year’s draft, was unlikely to add to that tally this season.

“I thought Cooper played really above the level. I’m not sure how often we’ll be seeing Cooper in the WAFL” McQualter told 7NEWS.

“I thought he played well. He missed a big chunk of football, so it was great to see him come back and impact the game strongly and help our WAFL team have a win.”

Duff-Tytler’s inclusion would likely come at the expense of tall utility Jack Williams, who has also pinch-hit in the ruck to support the much-improved Bailey Williams in recent weeks.

West Coast are expected to welcome back experienced pair Liam Baker and Jack Graham against the pair’s former side at the MCG on Sunday.

Co-captain Baker is set return after serving a one-game suspension, while McQualter hopes Jack Graham will also be fit to play after missing last week with a hamstring concern.

“He (Graham) was probably a bit touch and go on the weekend to be able to play,” McQualter said.

“With a short break, and just the risk associated, he’s missed a chunk of footy as well, it wasn’t quite worth it.”

The Eagles will be without mid-season recruit Oliver Francou, who sustained a wound to his right knee after he appeared to clip his opposite leg with his boot studs.

Francou was stretched off and given the green whistle, with McQualter confirming he won’t be available in the short term.

“He’s OK,” McQualter said of Francou. “He had to have a little surgery the day after the game to clean the wound, but, fortunately, he’s avoided any major damage.

“Just a massive gash that he’ll probably have to miss a couple of weeks of football for, for that to heal, but he’s probably lucky that it wasn’t something more serious.”
