VideoChris Lynn becomes the first and only player to reach 4,000 runs in Big Bash League history with a powerful strike deep into the crowd at square leg.

The Big Bash League’s all-time leading run scorer Chris Lynn has undergone a rehabilitation program after serving a ban for using cocaine.

The 36-year-old returned a positive test during a standard anti-doping examination on July 18 during the T20 Blast Finals Day in England.

The urine test was sent to France, where it returned a cocaine-positive result, with Lynn then serving a one-month ban, which was reduced from three for undertaking the program, from July 31 to August 30.

It meant he played only one game in the Lankan Premier League season.

Lynn has since admitted to using Cocaine just hours after retiring hurt from a game for Northants, having been struck on the foot by Duan Jansen, the brother of South African spearhead Marco, who was named of the series in the recent Test series between the Proteas and Australia.

Lynn avoided sanctions under World Anti-Doping Regulations due to the low levels returned in the test.

The former Brisbane Heat megastar has signed a contract with Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming BBL season after departing Adelaide Strikers.

While his returns were modest last season, Lynn remains one of the biggest hitters in the competition.

The ban is not expected to impact him playing for the Renegades, who start their campaign with a blockbuster match in India against the reigning champion Perth Scorchers on December 12.
