Australia have qualified for the knockout stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after their 0-0 draw with Paraguay.
The Socceroos finished second in their group with four points after their tense draw in Santa Clara behind group leaders USA.
However, their road to progress further does not get any easier as they will now face the runner-up of Group G, which is currently Iran but expected to be Belgium.
After Belgium drew with Iran and Egypt defeated New Zealand. Egypt is now most likely to finish top as they already have four points from two games.
Belgium would need to beat New Zealand by two goals and hope Egypt lose or draws to Iran in their final group game on Saturday in order to overtake both and claim top spot.
New Zealand could set up a Trans Tansman Round of 32 clash but would need to stun Belgium and hope Iran loses or draws
Both those games will be played tomorrow at 11am.
The winner of that game will face either Argentina or Group H runner-up which is currently the surprise packet of Cabo Verde.
