Anton Hamp has sensationally backflipped on his retirement, with the Claremont veteran agreeing to sign on at West Perth.

The reliable WAFL utility will link-up with former Tigers coach Darren Harris at the Falcons, just days after the Tigers posted on social media that he had called time on his more than decade-long career.

Hamp had played 163 games for Claremont since 2011, but was restricted to just 10 this season because of a broken hand.

The former West Coast rookie contemplated a move to West Perth back in 2012 when he struggled to break into the powerhouse Tigers squad, before becoming a mainstay of the team in recent seasons.

Hamp will still cost West Perth a transfer fee, with the Falcons and Tigers negotiating terms of the deal that set to be done in coming days.

West Perth have already been busy this off-season, with West Coast premiership player Mark Hutchings, midfielder Luke Meadows, former Eagles defender Ben Johnson and East Perth’s Mitchell Dobson all signing with the club.

Meanwhile, West Coast are set to lose WAFL fairest and best Kieran Hug, with the goalsneak to return to Perth next season.

Hug and Jordan Busher will head back to the Demons, with the Eagles to get Mitch Henderson and Andries Mercer in a player swap between the co-tenants of Mineral Resources Park.

Hug is the big loss for West Coast, with the forward kicking an equal club-high 16 goals and taking home their WAFL team’s top award.

The 27-year-old played 25 games for Perth between 2013 and 2015, before heading to Donnybrook in the South West Football League.

He returned to the WAFL in 2019 as part of West Coast’s inaugural WAFL team.

South Fremantle have lured former Peel Thunder defender Jordan Boullineau and St Mary’s wingman Lachlan Taylor to the club for 2022.

Boullineau played 27 games for the Thunder before playing alongside returning Bulldog premiership player Steven Verrier win the Perth Football League C1 flag for Baldivis.

Taylor is set to add speed to the Bulldogs after impressing in the NTFL, joining fellow St Mary’s alumni Ben Rioli at South Fremantle.
