Traffic is being redirected in Subiaco following a car fire early Saturday afternoon.
A Toyota 4WD was driving along Rokeby Road near Hay Street around 12:50 pm when the engine began to smoke.
The driver reportedly pulled over shortly before the vehicle burst into flames.
Two crews from the Nedlands Fire Station quickly attended the scene and had the blaze extinguished by 1:08 pm.
Plumes of thick black smoke were seen billowing into the air while firefighters tackled the fire.
Police attended the scene to manage traffic, and no medical treatment or ambulances were required.
