Katanning police believe church hall blaze was deliberately lit and are seeking information from the public

Katanning police are seeking the public’s help as they investigate a fire at the town’s Uniting Church Hall, which they suspect was deliberately lit.
A crew from Katanning Volunteer Bushfire Brigade were called to the blaze on Taylor Street at 4.25pm on Monday, February 23.
The fire damaged 2m of an external access ramp, but no-one was injured and the church was not affected.
The crew extinguished the fire and made the area safe by 4.50pm.
Police examined the scene the following day and said they were treating the incident as suspicious.
