A baby has been freed from a car after a collision triggered a major emergency.
Multiple police, three ambulance crews and a Department of Fire and Rescue crew were deployed to the crash on Lukin Drive in Butler, near the corner of Baltimore Parade, just before 8am on Thursday.
Officers worked meticulously to free the infant, who had become trapped in one of the cars after the crash.A witness said the crash, which was reported at 7.45am — with the baby free by 7.55am — looked like a T-bone collision.
A DFES spokesperson said no serious injuries were reported.
Lukin Drive has been shut in the westbound direction.
