Football across all levels throughout the South West will be postponed until May 31, following a landmark ruling by the West Australian Football Commission today.

Along with junior and senior competitions, Auskick, AFL 9s, club training sessions and face-to-face education courses will also be postponed.

WAFC chief executive Gavin Taylor confirmed the decision fell in line with yesterday’s announcement regarding all State league and talent programs being postponed.

“We will be working through this postponement with all senior and junior competitions and affiliates throughout WA over the coming days and remain committed to offering our full support to community football during this time,” Taylor said.

Round one of the senior SWFL season was due to begin on Saturday, April 18.
