The jury appointed to a murder trial in the Bunbury Supreme Court has been discharged three days into the trial.

Debra Jane Alicia Holmes pleaded not guilty to the murder of her 56 year-old partner Wayne Chappell at their Muja hobby farm in July, 2018.

This morning Justice Derrick told the jury they were no longer required due to legal reasons.

He thanked the members of the jury for their assistance.

Ms Holmes was remanded to appear in Perth Supreme Court on December 19 where a new trial date will be set.
