South West Highway: Male passenger rushed to hospital after serious crash in North Dandalup

A man in his 60s who crashed near Fairbridge Wednesday morning was rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries via helicopter.

A car and a truck collided on the South West Highway just before 9am.

St John sent three crews to the serious accident near the Wades Road intersection in North Dandalup.

Fire crews also helped at the scene to free a man who was trapped in a wrecked vehicle.

The RAC Rescue chopper was called in to transport the man to hospital after he was freed

The chopper landed at Royal Perth Hospital about 11am with the man who was reportedly in a serious condition.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
