All eyes on the reefs

South West boat fishers are being lured in to be part of a marine citizen science program, Reef Vision.

Recfishwest is casting out for red-hot keen fishers who want to be part of the program, which it says is the first of its kind in the world.

The program will map and monitor the growth and development of fish habitat enhancement structures, like those in Bunbury and Busselton.

Each Reef Vision volunteer will be given a baited remote underwater video camera and training on how to set up, deploy and retrieve the equipment.
