Australia’s best riders have hit the Bunbury BMX Club this week for the 2018 Australian National BMX Championships.

More than 1000 competitors from around Australia have travelled to the city to compete, with the men’s and women’s elite classes to finish the event on Saturday, when they race for Australian honours.

Wollongong rider Leanna Curtis said she was impressed with the track after having a few practice runs.

“The track is fun and is really fast,” she said.

Curtis said her main goal was to have fun and she was not too concerned about what her results were.

“And if that means I end up on the podium then that will be good,” she said.

Curtis said it was a fantastic experience to come to a regional city such as Bunbury to compete.
