Fringe Binge

The much anticipated Bunbury Fringe Festival is set to return to the city after the official 2020 festival launch on Friday night.
Sponsors, special guests and Fringe Friends gathered in a new space in the CBD to celebrate and see the release of the new program.
Event coordinator Jo O’Dea said she was thrilled with the launch and the extensive line up of a shows install for next year’s event.
“The night was beautiful,” Ms O’Dea said.
“Tom Glesson is the biggest name we have on the program and also we’ve got Harry James Angus’ full band — an incredible band and with a new album just released.
“We’ve also got lots of comedy, we’ve got a beautiful burlesque show called Oddballs & Oddities which is specifically curated for Bunbury Fringe.”
The spectacular rooftop launch venue at Carey Street is set to be one of the main venues which Ms O’Dea said would be utilised as a rooftop cinema.
“That venue is where we are going to run our Fringe Noir Flicks and we have already started selling tickets for that which we are really thrilled about,” she said.
“We will have a special cocktail up there for the evenings so people can sit back and watch a film every night of the week if they want to.
Ms O’Dea said for those who would like to receive discounted tickets could sign up as a Fringe Friend before the end of the month.
“People can join anytime between now onwards and if they register now they will get discounts for tickets that are currently on sale plus tickets are on sale at the moment just for Fringe Friends, otherwise all tickets go on sale on December 1.”
The main Fringe Hub for next year’s event would be located at the Powerboat Club.
Bunbury Fringe will officially kick off on January 31 next year and run until February 8.
