SWFL 2023: Busselton look for ninth straight win as Collie Eagles face uphill battle for first victory

Fresh off the back of keeping Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault to just one point, Busselton will be looking to continue their dominant form during Think Mental Health round. The Magpies are set to travel up the hill where they will take on the Collie Eagles at the Collie Recreation Ground on Sunday. Busselton have continued to show why they are the team to beat after conceding just one point against the Lions at the weekend to extend their undefeated streak to an eighth win. The reigning premiers have fast emerged as one of the most dominant football sides in recent memory, conceding only nine points this season and boasting an incredible percentage of 5577.78. The combination of tremendous physical pressure and quick driving has helped the Magpies on their way to success, with the Collie Eagles set to face a tough challenge ahead. The Eagles are continuing to chase their first win since returning to the SWFL women’s competition after struggling to launch against Donnybrook last weekend. While the Eagles saved themselves from being kept scoreless last week, it was not enough to recover from being overwhelmed by the Dons during the first half. Elsewhere, Harvey Bulls will be looking to continue building on their winning streak when they host Bunbury at Harvey Oval in a Saturday morning match. While the Bulls have been putting on strong performances in recent weeks, Bunbury will likely step up to the challenge on the back of a few big wins of their own. After being drowned out in the wet at Brunswick Oval, Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault will be looking to bounce back when they take on South Bunbury. Meanwhile, Dunsborough and Eaton will go head to head at the Dunsborough Playing Fields as both sides return from a bye.
