On the back of a challenging 2023 season, the Eaton Football Club has been busy finalising its playing list for the 2024 campaign. The Boomers have signed former Melbourne and Fremantle speedster Harley Bennell, who played the past two seasons at the Harvey Bulls. Club officials are confident the 33-year-old will provide valuable leadership to younger players as the Boomers aim for a return to finals football. Joining Bennell next season will be Kobe Foster, a key forward who has crossed over from the Peel Football and Netball League. The winds of change have been blowing strongly at the Harvey Recreation Ground, with the Bulls losing three of their high-profile stars along with Bennell. Heading to South Mandurah in 2024 will be spearhead Brad Holmes, ruckman Tom Wood and ball magnet Andrew Haydon, who won the Bulls’ fairest and best award last season. However in a massive coup, new coach Kurt Haunold has secured the services of former South Bunbury power forward Jordan Strahan, while Braden Fimmano has also returned to the club.
