Where’s Bunbury’s political sizzle?

Kate FieldingSouth Western Times

As Bunbury residents get set to head to the polls this Saturday for the State Election, the South Western Times can reveal the answer to the biggest question on everyone’s lips.

Which polling places will let me celebrate months of political campaigning coming to an end with a juicy sausage wrapped in a fresh bread and topped with tomato sauce?

A handful of schools across the city have confirmed sausage sizzles will be available during Saturday’s vote.

At Adam Road Primary School, Carey Park Football Netball Club will kick-off its sausage sizzle from 8.30am until all snags are sold out.

Cooinda Primary School will fire up the barbecue from 8am to 1.30pm while Maidens Park Primary School will feed hungry voters from 9am to 3pm.

Dalyellup Primary School’s sausage sizzle starts from 10am until 2pm and Picton Primary School will have sausages hot off the grill between 8am and 2pm.

Bunbury Primary School will also be holding a sausage sizzle, with the starting time to be confirmed.

Ordinary and drive-in polling places are open from 8.00am to 6.00pm Saturday.
