The Aussies are a chance to finish on the podium across the men’s, women’s and wheelchair events in the 3x3 basketball arena, and elsewhere, there’s no shortage of action taking place.
It’s the final day of swimming action as we look to add to a whopping haul of golds, and there’s also lots happening in track-and-field off the back of an impressive first couple of days.

“I’m really honoured to be in that race with Shayna,” Perkins said.

“I’m just porud of everything in the end sometimes it’s hard to get up knowing it’s in the end
“I couldn’t have done it without my teammates and beautiful family in the stands.

A PODIUM SWEEP FOR AUSTRALIA, Bronze for Jack
Meg Harris makes it five gold medals in a single games after powering over the final 15m.
Jack shot out of the blocks and led through the first 25m but Harris was far too good before Perkins pipped Jack on the wall by four hundreths of a second.
Another 1-2-3 for Australia.
Jack is embraced by her teammates, and she’s clearly emotional as she waves goodbye and is in tears as she talks to Ariane Titmus.

It will be the final event of a storied career and it could be a fairytale finish.
But fellow compatriots Alex Perkins and Meg Harris are also big threats.

Australia up early in the men’s 3x3 final
They were up 9-6 before a huge two-pointer from England makes it a one-point game.
Australia respond with a point of their own but it’s going to be a tense four minutes.
Australia are in team foul trouble now two and England take a one point lead.
Taylor can’t believe it
“I don’t think it’s sunk in yet, but I’m over the moon,” he says.
“I just wanted to go out hard, in the outside lane, and I was paying the price in the last 50, but I dug deep.”
“It’s been amazing. I’ve worked extremely hard over the past year, and I’m just so happy.
“It’s Kai’s world, and we’re all just living in it,” says Turner.
GOLD FOR KAI TAYLOR!!
A stunning performance from lane one as he was under World Record pace across the first 100m.
He held on across the final 50m and finished just 0.08 outside his PB.
That’s his first individual gold, having secured two relay golds.
Turne and Short finished 4th and 5th, and that’s Australia’s 29th gold a new record.

Sam Short, Harrison Turner, Kai Taylor in the pool for Australia with Englishmen James Guy the biggest threat to the Aussies with three Olympic golds to his name.
Evans takes historic gold for Scotland
Kinder faded badly as the race went on while Ramsay stormed home but just missed out on a medal to finish fourth.
Angharad Evans was dominant to become the first ever Scotswomen to win this event and the home crowd is rightly going wild.
Peroglitti secures at least a bronze
She sweeps the final round with some dominant crosses, and boy, she needed that to win in a 3-2 split decision.
She was struggling to get the better of her smaller opponent and was warned mutliple times for holding but no doubt she landed the more dominant punches when it counted.
She will add her Commonwealth medal to her world championship silver.
200m breaststroke up next
Tara Kinder and Ella Ramsay are up against local hope Angharad Evans.
The two Aussies are out fastest across the first 50 but Evans is powerinmg through on the second lap.
