Cricket: Australia proved way too good for Bangladesh in Mackay, drawing another Test match to a conclusion inside two days by wrapping up an innings-and-51-run victory.

Recap all the action here!

Thanks for joining us

That’s where we’ll leave things after a dominant victory for Australia.

Thanks for joining us throughout the series!

Starc’s say

Unsurprisingly, Mitchell Starc’s 10-wicket haul has secured him man of the match honours - as well as the player of the series prize.

“We knew we weren’t at our best or what we expect of ourselves in Darwin - Bangladesh played really well, so take nothing away from them,” he said.

“1-all series, but a much better week for us.”

Green speaks

Cam Green has joined Channel Seven’s post-game show and reflected on his improved form.

“It means a lot. It’s been a tough year going into this,” Green said.

“I think it’s just been keeping it simple. I think I just complicted things a little bit.

“I was playing way too many shots early. Trying to rein it back in early seemed to help.”

Game over!

And that’s the game in Mackay!

Shoriful Islam has fallen for a two-ball duck - and after taking 10 wickets with the ball, Mitchell Starc has taken the catch at point which ends the game.

Taskin goes bang

The result looks settled here, but Bangladesh No.10 Taskin Ahmed is trying to give some back.

Clobbering Nathan Lyon for a huge six gave their fans something to cheer about, but might be inconsequential.

Taijul’s time coming

Taijul Islam is hanging around for Bangladesh, but he looks a long way from comfortable.

Bangladesh’s No.9 was lucky to have an uncontrolled pull shot evade Beau Webster on the leg-side boundary.

Two-day carnage

Two-day Test matches used to be a real rarity, and they’re now becoming quite common.

Ahead of last summer, there had been only three games ever played in Australia which had drawn to such quick conclusions. But if this game plays out according to how it appears it will, that total will have doubled inside the span of only seven Tests.
