SWFL 2022: Both Donnybrook and HBL have plenty to play for at VC Mitchell Park on Saturday

Since their disappointing 75-point loss against Bunbury at Payne Park last month, Donnybrook have looked like a completely different team. So much so, the Dons are now well and truly in with a chance of finishing fifth and playing finals. However, for these aspirations to remain well and truly alive, the Dons will need to take care of Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault on Saturday afternoon at VC Mitchell Park. Aside from increasing their level of pressure against opposing sides, Donnybrook’s ability to generate an even spread of goalkickers has resulted in bigger scores. While some of these avenues to goal — Sean Lynch and Jeff Smith — are somewhat traditional, the Dons have also benefited from veteran Shane Cristaldi roaming forward and hitting the goals with aplomb. After holding off the Eaton Boomers by two points a fortnight ago at Glen Huon Reserve, Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault were never in contention against South Bunbury last Saturday, as they were unable to get any value for their endeavour on the scoreboard.
