The dust had barely settled from Augusta-Margaret River’s defeat against Busselton last Saturday night, when Hawks coach Matt Jamieson switched his focus to Carey Park on Sunday at Kelly Park. “Obviously they have had some inconsistent form,” Jamieson said. “But they (Carey Park) have also been in plenty of games and also got results like Sunday’s win over Bunbury. “Irrespective of the team you come up against week to week, you have to be ready to go. So we will do this and hopefully some key personnel will swing back in our favour as well. “I am confident of a response.” Buoyed by his side’s emphatic 11.14 (80) to 5.9 (39) win over Bunbury at Payne Park last Sunday, Carey Park boss Brett Maguire is keen for his side to build on the key foundations laid against the Bulldogs. “I am keen for us to keep the momentum going,” he said. “If we can get some consistency in our play, the side can be competitive week-in, week-out. “We know what we need to do — and if we bring plenty of effort, we give ourselves a chance.” Bounce-down is at 2.10pm.
