WWE star attacks West journo’s haircut

Australian WWE wrestler Grayson Waller has continued a beef with Perth’s hometown newspaper The West Australian — this time lashing out at a journalist.

On Friday, Waller doubled down at an official WWE press conference ahead of the Elimination Chamber major event.

Not only did he attack De Ceglie, but also took at reporter Caleb Runciman.

“My question is, I don’t know what’s worse, him as a journo or your barber giving you that haircut lad . . . that’s atrocious,” Waller said.

“Did he finish halfway through and go ‘sorry mate, I haven’t got time, I’ve got to go home real quick’.

“I don’t know if guys know this, he (referring to Runciman) used to work at Hoyts back in the day . . . they used to play movies on his forehead.”

What is Austin’s Theory on workouts before an event?

After the stoush that had The West’s editor trembling in his corporate black lace-ups, Austin Theory was back in the gym making gains before Saturday’s event.

His pal Dominik Mysterio was close by, albeit in a different weight division to the imposing star.

Doherty’s Gym has been lucky enough to host a number of WWE figures of late, including Grayson Waller, Bobby Lashley and The Undertaker.

Just how new were those beer-filled shoey sneakers?

WWE has shared an up-close view post-shoey of Grayson Waller and Rhea Rhipley from their Optus Stadium fan day stage.

Rhipley could be heard telling fans nearby, “These are brand new. Brand new.”

New or not, they may fetch a pretty penny if sold or auctioned after the event.

Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti lauds crowd-pleasing WWE

The biggest fan of wrestling in this state might be Rita Saffioti, who couldn’t be any more welcoming of the sport’s local impact.

She said the events were “showcasing Western Australia on a global stage”.

The press junket is over, but the show goes on

As WWE stars ended their appearance in front of thousands at Optus Stadium, it won’t stop fans from staying tuned to all the action as it unfolds.

Plenty more to come.

Grayson Waller and Rhea Rhipley do shoeys

The two hometown heroes ended the show in the most Aussie way imaginable, with a “shoey”.

Flinging off their white sneakers, the crowd cheered the duo on as they quenched their thirst with an ice cold beer.

“To Australia,” said Waller, as he and Rhipley downed the local brews.

Rhea Rhipley and Nia Jax give fans a show

The challenger to Rhea Rhipley, Nia Jax, greeted a temperamental crowd and tried to claim her Aussie origins.

Then the local “Mami” graced the stage, donning her defending women’s world championship belt.

“We love Rhea,” chanted the crowd.

Taking a sip of Logan Paul’s Prime Energy drink, she wasn’t too complimentary of the star’s investment.

“It doesn’t taste great anyway,” she said.

After a few choice words to her rival, Rhipley then squirted the rest of her Prime bottle in the face of Jax.

“Splash, splash, b*tch,” she laughed.

Tiffany Stratton gets upstaged

Irish star Becky Lynch offended Tiffany Stratton, forcing her to leave the stage.

She then took aim at Beckly Belair, who wasn’t afraid of facing up to the antagonist as they looked each other up and down.
