Busselton’s dominance in the women’s competition could be put to the test on Sunday at Payne Park when they square off against Bunbury.

While the clash is a rematch of last season’s grand final — which resulted in a one-point win by the Magpies — many things on Sunday will look different.

The Bulldogs will gain a Bilcich for the clash, by way of new coach Stephen, who took over from Michelle Harris during the off-season.

Unfortunately for Bilcich, he will be without oldest daughter Ebony due to WAFLW commitments with Peel Thunder.

Bunbury will also likely miss Ruby Mahony and Daisy Rigby (Swan Districts), while Shana-Lee Beardman (work) and Charity Ryder (Eaton) have also moved on.

However, they are still unbeaten, as are Rennie Meadmore’s Magpies.

Incredibly, Busselton still do not have a percentage, as they have yet to concede a single behind. They enter Sunday’s rematch on the back of an uncompromising 78-point win over Donnybrook, where they dominated every facet of the contest.

While a number of household names are likely to garner attention from the Bulldogs, they would be wise to not overlook Phoebe Harris and Havana Milner, who have both started this season brilliantly.

The match could also be a significant moment for Busselton’s Isabella Hancock, who seriously injured her knee at Payne Park during last year’s corresponding fixture.
